Burrata is a fresh Italian cheese. I first tasted it at a restaurant in Napa. Essentially it’s a ball of mozzarella filled with cream and curds. When opened the moist interior oozes out. Spread on crostini it is divine. Had some at Chinato of E.4th Street Friday night. Wow.

they have a great buratta dish at Flying Fig as well – VERY tasty!
I’ll have to try it. Thanks for the tip.
But we still haven’t found a purveyor making mozzarella from scratch here in Cleveland, have we? I know that Baricelli Cheese Company carries Burrata at retail sometimes.
No. And believe it or not I’ve been asking around ever since you posed the question.
Thanks for trying!
Gallucci’s carries it but I don’t know whether or not they have it regularly.
Crostata’s in Richmond Hts. serves it. If memory serves it is an American made burratta. It is very good.
